I put a new engine in this a month back and ever since I have an intermittant problem with it just cutting out, usually when coming to a stop or slowing down. I drive for around 7 to 8 hours a day with lots of stop/starts and it generally does it once a day, so not too bad atm but a little annoying.

I have checked with opcom and a fault code I havn't seen before is showing P0200 Not present
( 9 ) Capacitor Voltage 1 Low Voltage - I cleared it last night and it cut out again today and this code is back. Is this likely to be a problem with the ECU? I have a spare ECU here but don't have the code, so will need to get a BD100 and frame since my MPPS won't read this ECU.

Did you get the injectors coded properly, and the other error about injector min quantity learning thing sorted ?

Cant say I've ever had that code, so cant help. In order to fit another ecu to the car, yes you will need the donor ecu either reset first, or at least to have the security code for it so you can reset it prior to fitting it to your vehicle, then programming it and the other modules again.

I'd check wiring and connections at the injector etc first though before even considering a faulty ecu which would be the least likely cause.

There will be people online who can reset the ecu without a code for a fee, or somehow extract the code from it so you can use it

if you have the donor vehicle, corsa, meriva or whatever the ecu came from, you can usually read the security code from the dash.

Still get that error min quantity not learned, they just won't code to this ECU, van still seems to run fine apart from this occasional cutting out. The ECU is the original, ive not changed it. I wanted to try another ECU so bought one off eBay without a code thinking I could use MPPS to read the eeprom but it dosn't work on the ECU for the 1.7 combo.

Only way to get it is to use a bdm100 and frame and open up the ECU, kit is about £45 on eBay so still cheaper than buying a reset ECU on their which is around £125. Wiring all seems ok, from what I have read the Capacitor Voltage 1 error comes from a problem with the ECU, I think those capacitors control the injectors.

This guy seems to say he can pull security codes or just clone your own ecu etc.
