Hi all,
Bit of a nightmare this. I opened the roof this morning but this evening when closing it again it won’t close completely, it stops just short of the point where the latch will engage. The clamshell is closed and flush. I just had a load of engine work done yesterday so I was wondering if the roof’s not been adjusted properly after the work, is that likely?
Roof is new but was working fully prior to going in to garage.
Any advice gratefully received as we are supposed to be of on a European road trip tomorrow mid morning, aargh! Currently hoping it doesn’t rain tonight as roof is partially open and the windows won’t close either....

straight back to the garage - likely something cocked up as you suspect.

I had something similar myself years back and it was a pair of broken struts - wouldn't close and wouldn't open again either. just happened out of the blue when the struts/cables stuck somewhere. I kept pressing the close button and something went pop. struts snapped. porsche replaced the struts for me and all was well. lesson learned - don't try to force it or you'll snap the alloy struts - they're very light and easy to break. cover it to keep weather out and get it back to the garage to fix.

think there is a manual close procedure somewhere in the user manual - but if struts/cables are stuck like mine were - then that won't work either.

Hey, thanks! Fortunately they’re open tomorrow morning. If they don’t fix it it’s going to require I change my username to frozen-in-switzerland.....

If you go too fast without it fully latched you will be blown off in Switzerland..

Sorry nothing to constructively add to this so I thought I would go with something that amused me.

Resolved! Just required a bit more brute force to latch, will need adjustment when I get back but is at least useable so we got away ok.
Thank you all!
