Final thread: mk2 Focus ST (st3) or bmw E90 330i m sport.
Discussion
Afternoon,
Please see individual threads about how indecisive I am (
)
This is going to be the final thread because it is definitely between these 2 cars...
Have one child and another potentially on the way, so need to have the correct room etc.
Not bothered about fuel economy, I want whichever to be reliable.. I need it to a reliable car, fed up of fixing broken crap on my e39.. Headache after headache.
No commuting as I have a van, literally evening and weekends.
Budget is a absolute maximum of £7,000.
which car would you go for and why? (Please don't suggest other cars as I have literally been through them all and it's between these 2!)
Cheers

E90 has the bigger boot but less access.
E90 will sound better and be the more comfortable.
Focus will be more economical, cheaper to run and more fun.
I'm having the same dilemma but keep my E90 335i or get a MK3 Focus ST3.
Would the focus honestly be more economical? E90 will sound better and be the more comfortable.

I would've thought the 330 would be.
Boot space is a bit one really, thinking the focus would be more of a laugh

It would be the ST for me as they're a fun car space wise they really aren't far apart but the 5 cylinder is a peach

Find a Mountune fettled version & you'll have a cracker:

The 330i is a good car but the Ford edges it as a drivers car, you'll have to hunt for a 330i M Sport with sensible miles on the clock but they are out there.

With these two cars being so far apart I'd say you'll only get your answer when you test drive them.

Didn't realise the MK2 was the 5pot one.I would've thought the 330 would be.

In which case they will probably be about the same, maybe the 330 would edge it slightly
