Finally scratched the itch and bought 1994 Griff 500. As I am now retired I have time to sort out the niggles that I am sure will happen.
Based in Somerset it would be nice to compare notes with like minded owners.
try to think of it as a classic.. and preventative maintenance.. after all it is 24 years old!Based in Somerset it would be nice to compare notes with like minded owners.
(just went through replacing little things, 20 yr old relays, fuses, checking earths, things like that, on mine)
and check the fuel hoses!
not much to go wrong, but any old part will eventually need replacing. Mine still on original, alternator, starter motor, clutch etc. so I won't complain if/when I need new ones.
Have you got any photos?
Several Griff owners near you.... Chris Ridgers (TVRCC Regional Organiser), Chris Hodgson and myself to name a few....
If you're a TVR Club member you'll find that they have local meets (usually at the Rose & Crown in Dinnington) so you can meet up there. Also we are very well looked after by Colin who runs TVRS South West in Wellington (what he doesn't know about Griffs probably isn't worth knowing!!)
Enjoy it (I've had mine for 18 years....)
