I quite recently stumbled on the Lost in Vegas youtube channel. Two rap fans, George and Ryan, listen to, pick apart and review (mostly) heavy metal tracks. Fans suggest tracks and the guys give their honest opinions on them. A hot topic is which is better, classic Megadeth or classic Metallica.

Been subbed for awhile.

I enjoy seeing them react to my favourite tracks. Reminds me of the first time I listened to them. Which is a great feeling.

Also enjoying checking things outside of my normal listening.

I'll give this a listen later but I'm not sure that I believe a lot of these "1st reaction vids" (I saw one with disturbed's sound of silence and another with bohemian rhapsody)

A couple of years ago, I downloaded and printed off the guitar tab for Holy Wars with the crazy idea I could learn the piece (well, I learned Shine On by Pink Floyd so how hard could it be?).

20 pages of A4 later, and 1 minute of attempting the opening riff, I gave up.

Mustaine's work is complex, fast, and iron clad. Friedman's lead work is astonishing with exotic scale tones and mind-bending dexterity. Holy Wars is one of the best Metal tunes ever recorded IMO.
