GTR on A31 18th September

Briefly saw a GTR on A31 just after lunchtime on 18th Sept. Appeared to be an off-black(?) colour, chrome grills, and unusual letters/numbers on back - something like MV600.

Any idea who's it was? I'm just interested in spec.

This was up for sale recently at 49995. Sadly I can't remember the site.

I have seen the car in the flesh and from what I remember it was a factory built car specced by a wife for a lucky husband. It had a 525bhp engine and a custom interior, plus the special badges. I think his initials were MV or something.

Other people may know more.

Chrome grills sounds like mark Fish's car, on the website owners page.

Also can be seen in that background of one of the shots I took on my first factory visit.

Chrome bits not to my taste (or the silver grills), but nice colour.

Pretty sure it's wasn't Mark's, his is jet black isn't it.

Thought the guys name was Fox and the car was at the factory every time I visited.

And it is a nice colour.

It is a metallic graphite grey from what I remember, with a tan interior. Distinctively, the headlamp cluster is plastic chrome.

Must have cost 70k plus. Whoever got it got a bargain. I was tempted myself at 49k. Nearly flogged the RS and remortgaged.

The NEW owner is called Andrew (can't remember his surname)and lives in the Guildford area. He came and looked at mine but decided to buy Richard Foxs' car. IIRC he said he paid £44k for it!! I've not spoke to him for a while, but last I heard he was having a few teething troubles with oil pressure and lack of revs.
