Hey all,
My Black Boxster S (2003) has got crazed paint on the front and rear passenger side wings due to a dodgy respray some years ago by previus owner.

So I need to get them resprayed and (I think) I.ve found the right resprayer to do it.

He said he would qute for a full respray if I wanted a change of colour...now no offence but the one colour I cant get on with is black...and I really love the rare 986 "Forest Green" metallic which is a very dark shade...

If I do I probally won't bother with the inside door jams as being black jams against dark green it won't notice much (and I don't care if itt does) ...it will transform my Boxster from a great car to a great great car in my eyes because I love dark green on a car...

Whaddya think? smile

Px it against a forest green one when one comes up for sale. They do come up.

I love that colour too. Oak green has to be my fave green though wink

I think a bad colour done nice is better than a nice colour done bad.

A good bodyshop won't do what you are suggesting... they will suggest sanding down to original paint and prepping for proper respray.

A full body respray will be more than the car is worth.

Keep it black. You will preserve its value and you can trade in easier. Lots of people love black.
Good advice.

On relection I'm having second thoughts...

As a few people have noted it may be better to go back to black and wait for a FG one to turn up...but by then I'd hhave probably fallen in love with it too much to sell it!
