Just looking for some advice really. I took my corsa to have some tracking done due to some uneven tyre wear on the rear. Garage said they couldn't track the rear wheels because my car operates off a beam axle which runs all the way across. They said that the uneven tyre wear was either due to over inflation or inconsistent PSI across the rear tyres. I had a slow puncture (which I knew about prior to going) which they said was likely to be the cause.

Is this likely to have been the cause or could it be a bigger problem with my rear axle that they didn't investigate?

Thank you!

Your mechanic is right

Either the uneven wear is due to other factors or the rear beam is bent.

Squint down the edge of each rear tyre and see if they line up with the front tyre. Even by eye you can see any major error. A long plank to hold against the tyre makes it easier.
