Cheap digital watch - CASIO
Discussion
Hi All,
I know this is not your typical thread on this sub forum LOL !
I have a number of interesting watches and as some of you may remember I purchased a brand new 2018 Submariner from Dominic Hackett a couple of months ago.
Anyway, I digress, I have always worn Casio digital watches to bed. Nice and light and easy to tell the time in the middle of the night.
My current Casio Futurist, which is brilliant has given up the ghost after 15 years, so I need a new one.
I wish I could get the same watch but they don't make it anymore and ebay does not have any either.
So what do I go for. I sometimes will wear it to football training and weekend gardening and car washing duties.
Budget £50, I like retro, light weight, bright illumination/light and prefer metal frame and strap.
Thanks All.

This has to be the answer to most Retro Casio questions apart from the metal bit: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Casio_F-91W

<ot>Aaaah yes, you're the guy with the submariner</ot>
On topic, I have a $25 chrome retro-styled illuminator, but I think it feels quite dinky.
Maybe the plastic/rubber ones are better.
The upside is that it's very light so doesn't hinder during sports.
Within budget, I think it would be hard to beat this:

If it's just a cheap beater with nighttime light, you could have a look at the Timex range, the models with "Indiglo" can illuminate their entire face.
They don't have any of the functions (beside reading the time at night), but some look quite smart and might be found within budget:

For me it would be the Casio AE-1200WHD-1AVEF.

Available for £27.88 here: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Casio-Collection-Mens-Wat...
Reminiscent of the Seiko that Sir Roger Moore wore in the James Bond film Octopussy.

I've got one of these, £14.99 from Argos about a year ago. Available for £27.88 here: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Casio-Collection-Mens-Wat...

It's ok to ask for advice about a Casio digital without mentioning your Submariner. Nobody will judge you. :-) I have a number of interesting watches and as some of you may remember I purchased a brand new 2018 Submariner from Dominic Hackett a couple of months ago.
