I took delivery of my new 991 in November 2015, yet I,m told by OPC that my warranty ended in September 2018, 28 th to be precise as was the date the car left the production line.
Surely a warranty should begin on the date of registration?
I,m loosing almost 2 months on what is already a short warranty period compared with others, has anyone else experienced the same with a new Porsche?

You are right. The warranty should commence on date of first registration. Yourts wasn't pre-registered was it ?

Another possibility is when the OPC dated the invoice and you paid for it. Was there a delay between buying the car and collecting it? My warranty began a few days before it was registered - it was when it was invoiced and paid for.

It was a factory build Black Edition plus my chosen options, so wasn’t pre registered.

That’s a good point and I can see how that could explain a few days difference, but I’m talking almost 2 months. I remember the date it left the production line because it’s the same day as my birthday 😀

If factory collected that could explain things.
