Oil, all over the place.
Discussion
Had my first problem today.
Went to watch the drifting at Snetterton,(pics tommorow).
Not my first choice normaly, but as my friends girlfriend is the sister of last years winner, It was only fair to check it out before writing it off.
Got chatting to some chap who makes carbon fibre bits.
Well I thought two plenum's in CF would look good, popped the bonnet, oil all over the engine bay, the breather to the front had come off. Now I had no change in oil pressure, thank god I checked it, the level was down to about halfe way between the marks, so not too bad.
The people there were very helpfull, lent me the tools I needed and even gave me enough oil to top it up. It could be worth making this a regular check, could you have imagined what would have happened if I had not noticed.
Oh yeah got pulled over on the way , my mate in my chim and me in the cerb. Now it was pizzing down so taking it realy easy, anyway police in fully kitted out Range Rover started following us, got in front of me then my mate, next we were in the layby. No probs very nice chaps. He said "I thought you guys might be racing" "no chance" I said, firstly look at the conditions, secondly if we were racing you would not have seen us again.
Off we went, I think he wanted a look at the car, though the log book does say green gold, so worth a pull realy, they had what looked like ANPR working from a rear facing cam on the roof will have to sort the log book out. They (The police chaps) Certainly wantd to know what it could do.
"on a private road maybe 180ish"
