I have been in the construction industry as quantity surveyor for 10 years now, and have got to the point where I do not care for monthly valuation, Final accounts and generally arguing about money that is not even mine.

I have never had a passion/interest in buildings I just went down this path as it promised a good wage.

I have got to the point where I earn a decent wage, however I am still deeply unfulfilled.

I have been struggling with this for a while and have decided to actually do something about it and move into a industry that I have a passion about, which is cars. I'm sure most people here share the same flair.

I did work in a garage after school and put myself through an evening course at a local college, however the QS role came up so I jumped ships, although not sure mechanics would be the right path for me now.

So I was just after some inspiration and interested to hear from anyone who works in job that involves cars that they recommend I look into, that I may not have thought of?

What about taking on a project car and wrenching on it in your spare time?
Maybe this way you can dip your toe into it and it could put some energy and excitement back into your life.

What aspect of ‘cars’ interests you the most? Fixing, selling, cleaning, buying, refurbishing, designing, detailing, scrapping, driving, wrapping, sourcing, testing, servicing, crash testing, painting, racing, repossessing etc?
