The roof rack on a rusty Nissan Micra in Sicily was just a convenient place to photograph it.
Its not Sicilian, but a mate of mine travelled the world and has a bunch of odd things and now lives there.

That is a coconut scraper and as far as I'm aware its widely used in Sri Lanka esp this particular model (ref https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/172813802052)

The ones made in India are slightly different and mostly in Stainless steel

Wow! Absolutely 100% correct. Every house there has one according to my mate. He's a world class globe trotter living off a smallish inheritance he got in 1976....and still waiting for his mum to die! She's 92 and has a strong heart and a will of iron

Not sure what that had to do with the scraper, unless your mate's waiting to inherit that from his old mum?
