Stuck choosing next car, Looking for ideas

So this is very un PH, I currently have a 2006 Lexus GS300. and as much as I'd like to be driving a new M/RS/AMG type thingy its not really what i need from a car daily.

The Lexus is essentially everything I need from a car, but I'm stuck on what to get next. I'm stuck for an obvious answer,

I like
Comfort for the 20k miles I do a yr
A decent stereo to slave off the motorway boredom
Enough performance to sit happily on the Mway (the Lexus sit at just over 2k at 80)
Reliability - The Lexus has lived up to the legend and this is important to me.

What I really need is something with a bigger boot / fold down seats. A better economy would be a bonus but it's not essential, but no worse, The Lexus gets 33-35 on a run 20 around town. This is livable as it sends most of the time on the Mway.

What I've looked at so far are Passats, Golf in estate form, Mondeo, X3, Grand Cherokee. But nothing really jumps out.
Budget is upto £5k
