Ive noticed in the last couple of months or so that my car has suddenly loosened up in the corners, it used to feel really tight and remain mega flat through the corners yet lately i go round corners at about 20/25mph and it feels like the body roll is really bad.

What could be causing this? Its a fiesta st mk7 and is currently on eibach lowering springs.

Its gone from planted to rolling in about 3000 miles, it does get pushed hard in the corners.

Tyres or geometry (unless something is worn or broken).

You could try a 4 wheel alignment (done by someone who knows what they are doing).

It can make the world of difference.

I only had all of this checked about 6 months ago to be honest and the handling itself is still reliable it just rolls all over.

Broken drop link(s)? (Hold the anti-roll bar onto the chassis each end)

More body roll?

It’s in your head IMO

Might just feel different now that temperatures are dropping. Very easy to get close to the limits inadvertently when the tyres are cold.

Check your tyre pressures too, they reduce as atmospheric temperature drops.

Notice any difference in ride quality? Maybe a damper has failed.

This would be my first place to look.

Worn or leaking dampers? Anti roll bar bushes? Drop links? That’s where I’d start biggrinbiggrin

Nearly.

They connect the ARB to the suspension/wishbone. This is where I’d be looking first too. Either the drop links, anti rollbar bushes or tired/leaking shocks.

Could a broken coil spring cause this? One unlucky strike on a pothole can easily break one.

OP,

Why did you have the chassis alignment etc checked out 6 months ago?

Had this same feeling in my old Clio 172 Cup. Turned out to be rear dampers

Sounds like lack of damping to me too.
