Sounds like a con to me:

If your inheritance is $10,000,000.00, and your shiny new ATM card has a daily withdrawal limit of a paltry $3,000.00, it would take over 9 years to receive all your cash.
In the meantime these dastardly scammers will be getting all the interest on your capital. irked
They are just trying it on.

I would suggest that you contact them asap with your full bank details, password and security code, and demand that they transfer the full amount to your account without delay.

HTH..

Your big mistake was posting your code. I am currently on hold with Mr. Godwin I. Emefiele and I look forward to claiming 'my' inheritance.

Ferrari ownership here I come.

£3k per day I can buy a Ferrari by Christmas.

I put the people from the US Treasury Dept ,who are looking after my $53.000.000 compensation , in touch with my financial adviser from the World Lottery , he is managing my prize of € 87.000.000.
And when my cheque from that very nice man from Nigeria clears in my account I am off to Macau to meet my new Russian girlfriend for the first time .
Should I take the viagra now or wait until I have paid her expenses ?
I am not as worldly wise as others on here , am I in for a nice time ?

I had a similar one to this the other day. What made it more amusing was the email was titled "Hello Dear".

Do the scammers actually expect anyone to fall for this drivel?

Or are they 'baiting' people into opening nonsense spam to confirm that an email address is active, and they'll then use the details/flog them to a fellow scumbag to target the address with more 'advanced' scams?

(I have a pretty good spam filter, and I never open this sort of crap... doesn't stop me receiving several a week though).

There is a school of thought that says the obviousness and poor grammar of these scams acts as a first-pass filter. If you're stupid enough for that to not raise massive alarm bells, then you're probably stupid enough to go the whole way and send them money.

Indeed.

I can't/don't want to imagine someone being stupid enough to fall for such a transparent scheme...

Aside from people with learning difficulties, senility or similar issues, it's hard to find sympathy for the victims of these scams IMO.
