Finding the value of unlisted shares

Hi all,

Hoping somebody with an understanding of shares could offer me some advice.

We are in the process of wrapping up our mum's "estate" (which amounts to very little), & she inherited some shares from our Dad when he died around 16 yrs ago.

The 3 company's appear to still be trading but not listed on the stock exchange. I am fairly sure that they are of little value, but i am not sure what to do with them

Appreciate any pointers on this, all new to me !

First port of call would be Companies House website.
Look up the names there.
It will give you some financial information, and also an accountants or company secretary contact details.
