As posted before I had this tub of what appeared to be apple pie from my mums freezer before she passed away last year. The writing on it said it might be an apple pie

Taking the lid off cast doubts on that....

As Rolf Harris would have said, before things got a bit risque, "Can you tell what it is yet kids?!"

Having defrosted the scent of fish was apparent......

Seven year old fish .... time to do what every man does when faced with something highly suspect and inedible ... I decided to turn it into a fish burger!

It looks really good here

but really looks epic here

At this point I suddenly had second doubts about the mission. It was like 2001 where Hal talks to Dave.... only one thing for it. My trusty co-pilot of 4 years prepared to go to infinity and beyond

Mission accomplished.

It was a small step for a dogs belly, a giant leap for me clearing out the freezer. It's amazing what you find in there.....

Bit of a daft thing to have done TBH. Hope the dog is ok today and no harm done.

I never knew that, our puppy came to me and her breath stank of onions, went outside and she had dug up my crop of spring onions. Don't think she ate any of them just played with them and rolled on them.

Her breath was definitely an improvement over today's. She has found cow poo in the field makes a nutritious snack!!

Once gave my dog some leftover sauce from moules marinière.

Never did that again.

It is but it'll not have any noticeable effect on a healthy dog unless they eat multiple whole onions. Garlic is used as a traditional flea repellent.

When having the kitchen renovated last year the fridge freezer was unplugged for a few weeks.

On reinstalling I opened the freezer bit and saw a load of mould on the bottom, I went to get some bleach to clear it up and found a total lack if mould on my return and the dog with a funny look on his face.

It was an interesting 3 days, worse for him than me but I think that he took something away from the experience.

I suspect that “gas” will be the right word.
