Just gauging interest.

We all know, name no names, that win a flash car competitions exist...quite visible at airports and online.

Would the same business model work for bikes?

Could be set up say £200 a ticket, limited to 100 tickets, for a top-end superbike eg Panigale or R1M.

Or £20 a ticket, limited to 500, for something like a 790 Duke or MT09SP.

Would you buy a ticket?

No. Never enjoyed gambling as the maths don't work out for me.

There are loads of aspirational people who do like gambling though so it might work. However even people who don't know anything about cars would aspire to having a flash car but I'm not sure that's true of bikes. It might work if you did it with non threatening stuff that everyone recognises, that sell an aspirational lifestyle. Harleys for example.

I’d have a go at £20 a ticket.
There’s plenty of bikes on Facebook selling pages that are sold off using the bonus ball method.

Some does that already, ultimate competitions I think - they do a mix of cash, phones, cars, motorbikes etc etc.

What's the ratio of car drivers vs full bike licence holders? Low, I'd imagine?

Factor that into how many people actually but BotB tickets and you might have a long wait before the draw.

I’d assume you’d need some sort of gaming licence, auditing, etc which would cost, and have to recover in addition to the profit.

For a while I kept seeing ads for this: https://www.ducatiforafiver.co.uk/

Personally I don't ever do these. The odds never seem appealing and it's not like the money is going to a good cause, so I can't even justify it that way.

Yeah, that one got slated when they posted here and it was basically just a get rich scheme hidden behind a seemingly charitable front, was months ago, never saw anything about who won it .....

From the Ts&Cs .... no winner until 50000 tickets sold so a cool 250k raised ...... so even with 20% to the charities (50k) they were still trying to make c150k in profit ..... leeches... I'd rather just donate a tenner to a charity .....

I think the odds would need to be close to how I had it in the OP.

I'd want winners asap due to the promotional value of seeing their beeming faces as they got the keys.

BOTB have lots of bikes on their lifestyle comp which runs at the same time as their dream car comp.
