Montblanc pens, buyers guide on what not to do?
Discussion
I keep getting drawn back to these and not just the standard ones like the Meisterstück and StarWalker.
Im more along the lines of the writer's edition and great characters editions. Im an oaf when it comes to writing so no matter how beautiful I think the fountain pens are, I know Im going to have to stick to a ballpoint if I buy one.
Can anyone offer advice on the limited editions? What to look for, where to buy the older ones, I can see this turning into a habit but at least its cheaper than watches.
No doubt people will say that Parker and the like are better, but always wanted a Montblanc for some reason.
(there is a watch forum, but no pen forum, so didnt know where to put this and hope it doesnt get lost in the lounge).
Some of the work that goes into them is quite extraordinary

That looks very cool, although I'd prefer it without the cartoon on it. Do they do that?Im more along the lines of the writer's edition and great characters editions. +1If you're not careful, you'll end up with a lot more than just the one pen!
