My gear knob seems to twist around after a while so that the markings have pretty much turned 180 degrees.

It happened before but on last service my knob was straightened out.

Now a few months later my knob has gone south again.

I have tried twisting my knob, taking off my knob and screwing back, alas all to no avail.

Any knob doctors out there?

Why are you worried by a twisted knob? Do you really need the gear positions accurately marked to remind you where each one is? lay off the and the and you may well not need the knob un-twisted!

If it's the same a mine, there's a locking nut (sic) under the knob, you'll need to adjust that/re-tighten the knob until it faces the right way

So, does the knob come off then? It looks glued on to me

Is that smooth ferrule-thing under the knob actually a lock-nut with no flats on it?

I've got to admit that it's shifted because i am constantly fiddling with my knob while driving.

Does anyone else have this problem with idle fingers?

I think your on the wrong website. And I'm concerned you need to ask publicly what that smooth ferrule-thing under your knob is

But do you need markings on it so you know where to put it?

The last time I had a problem when fidling with a friend's knob, it came off in my hand. This one feels different.
