Valuables Insurance Only
Discussion
Cancelled my home insurance as I don’t need buildings and home cover anymore as the place I’m staying in has all that covered. We were with AXA and we had specific items listed with values over £2500 like watches, rings & jewellery. Anything under that value did not need to be declared or listed separately. We also had cover for goods/items we had on us up to a specific value to cover any clothing or shoes.
I’m looking for an insurer who can provide cover for valuables, phones/gadgets and stuff, but I don’t need buildings or home insurance. Can anyone recommend anyone?

Properly Expensive when you compare it with what I was paying for a full home insurance package.
Axa was charging me £130 a year and Protect my bubble want £10 a month for the ring on it's own before even thinking about adding anything else.
Take out an additional contents policy then?Axa was charging me £130 a year and Protect my bubble want £10 a month for the ring on it's own before even thinking about adding anything else.
Anything bespoke like Protect My Bubble or similar is going to be expensive.....

I've temporarily moved into my parents house which is already insured. I can't insure it myself as it'll then be insured twice. So I'm looking for contents insurance with some personal cover whilst out and about without needing a full on form of house/buildings insurance.

Yes, but how do I do this without it being connected to a homes or buildings insurance?
either ask your parents to get their insurer to add your stuff on, which they may do.Or look into a tenants contents policy and check that it covers you whilst at your parent, rather than at property owned by a commercial landlord.
