Looking to buy a Audi A6 Avant but my head is neen blown right now...
S-TRONIC = DSG ????
MULTITRONIC = CVT ????

Now I've been told to say clear of the cvt if so why ?

I've seen a 63 plate multitronic 245 79k for sale £15,490 ?

Helppp or stronic only.

Multitronic | CVT
S-Tronic | DSG
Tiptronic | Torque converter

Models with the CVT (manufactured by LuK) built before 2006 apparently have a repuatation for giving problems.

This PH thread might be of help.

I have heard/read stories of the Multitronic and it has steered me away from buying one. They are called 'Multichronic' by some.
I would just refuse to buy a CVT anyway.

If it’s a 245 then I think they only did them in Quattro format so it would be stronic (don’t think the c7 had tiptronic slushbox apart from the 8 speed in the bitdi)
