Px to clear and Swaps only?
Discussion
Hi all,
I’ve been looking at ads for a runaround and I’ve noticed a few common themes:
• Cars listed as “Part ex to clear” – what does this mean for the buyer. Some of these ads state that no warranty is given and some don’t
• Cars listed as “Swaps only” – these are mainly on Facebook. I’ve asked what the cash price would be and told them there is cash waiting, but I’ve been told that they don’t want a cash sale and its swaps only, why would this be??

Either a car which the dealer doesn't specialise in, which they took as a part-ex against a car they sold. Or, the scepticism in me think it's a car they just can't shift for whatever reason and just wan't rid. The ones which state no warranty could be because the car's on it's arse, or they don't have the time or tools to prep the car. A good example is a Porsche specialist selling a French hot hatch - it's out of their comfort zone to do anything with other than sell. Buy with open eyes.

People who want a new car, but usually can't afford to to be without one (or afford the new car in the interim) so need a straight swap to never be without a car. Gassing Station | Car Buying | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
