I could not see a thread for this, apologies if one already exists.

Looks like Lorenzo may miss this race as well from his fracture in his left wrist.

Can Marquez wrap up the championship? Dovi needs to be on point to stop him.

Has Yamaha finally found some pace?

Rea should turn up and try and beat Marquez on his Kawasaki, I'm sure he thinks he could.

No chance - Leon thinks he could beat them both on his Kwacker!

Next year looks interesting, but I'd still put my money on MM whatever bike he is on - he makes the GOAT look like an "ageing" one. laugh

Awesome from Marquez. Didn't need to put it to that level of risk. Who's the Goat?

I'm a convert since watching his performance out in Misano.

The goat will always change and be open for discussion. I remember when Maradonna was number 1, then Ronaldo (9) then Zidane all of course in my opinion. Now I can't see past Messi.
Same here, Rossi absolutely my number 1 for years and years, slowly but surely Marquez is creeping up.

I think Marquez is more than just the pretender to the GOAT crown. Awesome record, world champion in 2010 (125),2012 (Moto2), 2013, 2014, 2016, 2017 and 2018. He's only 25yrs old and got another ten years at the top.

His MotoGp record is 43 wins from 105 starts (vs 89 wins from 316 for Vale who hasn't won a championship this decade).

Really enjoyed the whole race, really like Rins and Iannone so good to see them battling towards the front, shame Iannone crashed though. Cals really made a lot of progress this year in my opinion too.
Such a shame Dovi, crashed was really looking forward to the last few laps, also just a shame he missed out on the podium and celebrations.
Congratulations to Marc, love him or hate him you can't knock his abilities on a bike.

Can you imagine how special the next young rider to take the title off marquez is going to be ?

Marquez pushed the whole getting your elbow down style , just what is the next rider development going to be .

Hopefully staying on the bike in free practice. It will save the teams a small fortune

None of which matters when that rider wins the championship .

It would do.

I've seen a lot on here commenting about how much MM falls off, yet he rarely falls off in qualifying or the race, I'm sure he doesn't intentionally fall of but is he just testing the absolute limits in FP.

I'm pretty sure Honda aren't complaining about fixing his bike all the time though.

Only just read about Scott Redding patting Marc on the back and dislocating his shoulder! hehe

Was mildly curious why he was laid on the floor for a bit.

I agree to a degree. But ask yourself this....is it really awesome to keep crashing? Finding his limits in free practice is one thing, but there will be a point when his normal front end wash luck runs out and it turns into a really nasty highside. He maybe able to master the slide, but he only has to ask Lorenzo how his flying lessons have turned out.

I don't like him on a personal level, however I admire what he can do with the tools at hand. What we need now is Rossi to retire while still at the top to let some young blood in that has the same 'couldn't give a fk' attitude that can take it to MM.
