Car is an 2006 E92 330i.
Two weeks ago had a back spring fitted, last week four new tyres all Goodyear eagle.
Between having the spring fitted and new tyres I did not have the chance to drive the car at motorway speeds so do not know if this has happened after the spring was fitted or after the wheels were fitted or all could be unrelated.
Wheels have been checked again by the tyre place and they are correctly balanced.
Now this is happening after having the above done, at motorway speeds on certain surfaces the car starts to vibrate quite badly, I can also feel it through the pedals and steering wheel however when I let go the steering wheel it is not shaking.
Even my wife noticed it as a passenger on the weekend so it is felt throughout the car.
The strange thing is it does not do it on all the surfaces, could be driving for 20 miles ( at motorway speeds ) and all is fine and all of a sudden a different tarmac surface and the car just vibrates like hell.
Car going to a local indie next week however was curious if anyone had any ideas as to what is the cause.

Either your tyre pressures are too low or they haven’t balanced it correctly again...
Tyres generally take about 500 miles or so to scrub in.

From what you have described it would be either change you have done.
Just because someone has checked the wheels doesn't mean they are ok. could still be incorrectly balanced, out of round etc
Springs could have been fitted upside down! seen it plenty of times.

Best to get it taken in and checked

Have had a similar symptom a while back and it was a dodgy caliper sticking, car done the same type of thing, lots of vibrating on a couple of particular roads.
This somehow does not feel the same and is not so drastic however there is something wrong.
Tyre place took all the tyres off and rechecked them and so have to take his word for the time being.
Spring was done by a local mechanic ( thought its only a spring they would struggle to feck it up) as main dealer was out of springs so had no option, they replaced the spring and as soon as I drove around the corner from garage I could feel metal knocking on metal on every little pothole, they managed to kill the rubber at the bottom of the shocker so next day they replaced it.
Am keeping my fingers crossed it is not one of those problems that will take forever to find what is at fault, anyway car going to indy next week and hope he can find out what's at fault.

I've had trouble with the prop shaft on these (though a 320d not 330). Don't suppose it makes much difference. Sometime the rubber donuts go belly up.

Were the symptoms on yours similar to the ones I have ?
