£8k max, 2010 or newer, 60k miles or less, sporty looks?

A friend is looking for a new car after having his written off, the following requirements:

"8k, 2011 or newer maybe 2010 at a squeeze, 60k ish on the clock, sports trim if poss, loads of gadgets and then preferably back, white or red."

Nothing too thirsty or expensive to run of possible, what do you think? Something along these lines he was thinking, but what are the alternatives?
