I've sent the ST170 in winter hibernation, I'm coming to the end of my 330d ownership, which is a shame because 2nd to the ST170 and LCR, it's been my favourite car. I'm looking for something cheap to run through winter, don't really want a 4x4, but a 90's Disco would be considered. The few options I've considered:

Dirt cheap B5 Quattro (around £500)
Cheap 2000 Turbo (around £1500)
Audi TT (around £1200)

Wondering if there are any others I should consider?

It probably depends where you are or where you need to go.

If it's the Yorkshire Moors or Scottish Highlands an LR product, Land Cruiser, or similar might be your best bet.

But if you only have to potentially deal with no more than a few inches of snow in suburbia a set of winter tyres for any car you like might be a better idea! laugh

If you can get a TT in that price range and find some more money for some winter tyres you’ll be fine in anything other than very extreme weather ...
