Hello there - I am looking at the 2nd hand purchase of a 330d touring and would like a list of the options ticked when bought new. Is there anywhere to find the VIN online?

Thanks for reading!

Hi - I tried that but you're not able to search using the reg plate. I believe they require the last 7 digits of the vin?

Yes so ask the owner for last 7 digits of vin ?
Hpi check can give you vin.
More expensive than asking.

I'm looking for the vin via reg plate. Would anyone know how to search for this online for free?

Thanks!

There is a thread in here where a member can look up the VIN from the number plate
Most places don't let you do this now because of data protection (GDPR)

Thanks Dan - I dropped Sam a message to ask if he (or she) could help out, regarding the vin but i've not heard back. I'll have to see if the seller comes back to me with the info, although she doesn't seem too car savvy and has gone quiet.

In the meantime, if anyone knows a way of obtaining the VIN using the reg plate, i'd be very grateful.

This website works for me:
http://www.enginecentre.com/
enter your reg number in the pop-up box bottom left of screen:

and on the next page that opens with the details of the car, scroll down a little and the VIN is shown at the bottom of the Vehicle Spec list.
