So, I had Michelin Pilot Sport 4S's fitted at Denmead Tyres.

I had to go back because they had scratched one of the alloys. They sent me to a body shop, and he basically said he couldn't touch them as they were diamond cut.

So I then booked my wheels (at my expense) into Wheel Specialist at Fareham. I had an alarming email from them to say that 2 of my wheel nuts were missing on my nearside front and the rest were loose. Please bear in mind this is my family car. See below.

Then on completion of the wheel refurb, I noticed the following mark on the newly cut wheel and also this chip on my calliper.

I have since been back and basically the said the wheel would have to be re cut, but that isn't advisable and good luck sorting the calliper out.

Brilliant.

Strange - Denmead Tyres are usually pretty careful and hand torque the wheels.

How many miles did you do after the tyres were fitted? I seem to recall on the paperwork they strongly recommend checking the wheel bolts after 50 miles.

I'm not a big fan of the Wheel Specialist in Fareham - they're quite expensive and the quality is merely good, not great. Unfortunately they don't seem to have much competition in the area so seem to have little incentive to improve.

PS. thread might be a better fit in the South Coast forum.
