Hi I am trying to learn more about cars. I have bought a heap of junk just to try and change things on it. I have a old 1996 combo B 1.7 Isuzu engine. But trying to find part is a bit of a nightmare for me as I don’t know the engine code and the more I google it the more conefused I am becoming. My VIN is W0L000071T3050533. Google is throwing around 1.7D, X1.7D, Isuzu and others but I’m guessing the engine code with a DT is diesel turbo and mine isn’t a turbo. I know it is probably a stupid question but Thanks in advance

At one time it used to be normal to be asked the year/model/trim/engine to work out exactly what parts were applicable. These days most retail outlets will sort that out for you based on the vehicle registration.

It's usually on the engine itself. Go to the official dealer with your reg, they'll have it.

If you now check your vin plate/engine block you should see that code at the start of the engine number.
