Aguri roof bars - can’t get them off

I have a set of the Aguri Prestige roof bars & I have a BMW 5-Series touring.
A friend put the roof bars on for me as my husband is no longer here & I cannot get the roof bars off now. The friend who did it has moved so I can’t ask them to undo it too 😂.
I have sprayed the barrel with WD40, and the key does a 1/4 turn but the bit that is supposed to slide out does not, this is the same for all 4 pins!!
If anybody has any suggestions that would be amazing, thanks
