V8S speedo erattic
Discussion
Had a similar issue than immproved greatly when I clean up the connector to the transducer, which was oil soaked. Accessed it from above rather than droppng the exhaust myself.
It now works 99.9% of the time, the other 0.01% it reminds me its a TVR
.

editted to add i know 99.9 + 0.01 % doesn't add up, but left it in for entertainment value

Took my S3 to Horizon Motor Sport who advertise in the Sprint. The technician investigated my erratic speedo and concluded that, Speedo head has an internal fault requiring removing and sending for specialist repair. The gaffer said the specialist is somewhere in Wales but was unable to say where. Does anybody know where to get a speedo head fixed...I am given to understand they are no longer manufactured.
They also told me that the faulty speedo does not effect the tick-over...they hooked it up to the diagnostics and have done something, cos' it seems to run a lot better...although I don't know how fast I'm going....Paul.
