One of my 991's has been on winters all year... just wearing them out..

Cant wait for someone to tell me its dangerous or they will explode, or tear up the tarmac.... :-)

But the other ones will go on winters soon.
You really can't beat a 911 on proper rubber in the winter.

Nope...I’ve got winter wheels for my Cayenne but putting a fresh set of summer tyres on it tomorrow. I generally leave it tip end of November.

I found when it's double digits the tyres feel like jelly, and there's alot less grip. So I guess more dangerous but it depends on how many miles you do and how you drive for it to be 'dangerous'. I used to daily my 996 turbo so for me I found it dangerous but YMMV.

The 7.2 GT3 will get on Winters in two weeks - backlog at my OPC driving this though otherwise I'd have done it this week already

I don't bother for my 996, although I do use it through the winter so long as the roads aren't really salty (or icy!). I do run winters on my old BMW e36 touring though and that's due a new set this year. Not really sure what to go for having only used Dunlop 4D (I think) previously.

Put a new set of Continental TS810S's on this morning. Will treat them gently for the first couple of runs until the release agent is scrubbed off.

Mine will be going on in the next 2 weeks, on my 996 C4S, only down to having the time to get the trolley jack out and swap them over. I tend to give the calipers a good clean whilst the wheels are off, so it's a 2 to 3 hour job. Nothing better than a cross country dash on cold, slimy roads on winters. This year I intend to get my summer rims refurbed whilst they are off.
