Hi,

A friend of mine who lives in Barnet is currently in the market for a Peugeot 5008 or something from that category. He's come across a Northern dealer with seemingly good prices and reviews, but wants to be extra careful as it's his first time buying from an intermediary; Especially a remote one where he'll have no direct contact.

Here are the dealer's website and Autotrader page:
https://www.carandvandiscount.com/
https://www.autotrader.co.uk/dealers/lancashire/da...

Can you please have a look and tell me if you see any red flags or reasons to be suspicious? I can't be too helpful unfortunately, since I never bought a car in the UK, so I trust the community's experience and judgement on this one. Hope I'm not breaking any forum rules in the process.

Thank you in advance.

Also known as cort vehicle contracts, just go to the FCA and put the FCA registration number in. Personally i'd look at Carwoe, Drive the deal etc all established companies.

Ask them what their warranty procedure is for addressing any issues that arise with the car.
Is your friend able to take it to a local dealer or do they require return to base in which case your friend might have a problem!
