Small but irksome... I need to return a shaver worth £50 to Germany. It must have a tracking number in order to get the refund.

Post Office wants about £17 which I feel is too much for the value involved.

MyHermes wants about £9 but doesn't guarantee delivery.

UPS doesn't seem to offer tracking.

What does the panel suggest please?

Who told you that? UPS offer tracking from the point of collection, they've been doing long before anyone else.

It's what I gleaned from poking about on their website. I'll have another look tomorrow.

I was going to use MyHermes, and they have tracking, but they then say 'delivery can't be guaranteed' so it seemed more of a lucky dip than a delivery service. I suppose that if it's insured they can drop it in the Channel if they wish, but I'd rather avoid a claims procedure if I can.

Well at around £17 to return a shaver worth <£50 I've deemed it not worth it, and will put it on eBay instead.

The seller sent it to me from Germany only £3.32; presumably some bulk deal I can't get?

I might have gone in via Parcel2Go and it wasn't clear. Anyway, unless I can get it for <£10 it's cosmetic now.
