little tiny things that i think are diods

on the relay board of my 350 there are two small what i think are diods at the end connected to the relays with one wire in, one out, they are small black cylindrical objects, are they diods? they seem to have some relationship to the lights what do they do? more to the point where can i get hold of them ? any ideas folks

Yes they are. Try Maplins, RS, or your local TV repair shop. You want something like 1N4007, 1N5401. Pennies each.

They are indeed diodes. They control the main and dip functionality. Try the 'headlight electrical problems'under the maintenance section of www.tvrwedgespages .
It makes everything clearer... ohhhh err bright lights .
I have a couple of spares if you require, I bought 10 (min purchase) from RS a few months ago .... V. cheap @ 70p ish (plus the dreaded vat) for the lot .
