Late to the party, but just found out officially today Coke UK no longer selling vanilla or cherry coke in the UK as of a few months ago.

would explain the redesign of the coke zero equivalents packaging

likewise coke freestyle machines wont allow mixing of full fat coke with flavours anymore (raspberry coke was amazig), only allowing the mixing of low sugar versions.

taking away my ricicles was bad enough but the sugar tax has gone too far now with vanilla coke. let people have the choice and simply make fat people pay for health treatment, if fatness is due to lack of self control, rather than actual real conditions such as under active thyroid etc.

Anyone know why the bottled flavoured Coke only came in the diet/zero versions as a opposed to full fat?

I'm not overly bothered as I don't like the flavoured or diet versions, I'm just curious.

Can't understand that company sometimes, they also got rid of Coke Life (green packaging) which was healthier AND tasted great. It was also surely selling more than these daft flavours they persist with like caffeine-free feisty peach (or some nonsense)....grrrrrrr etc etc

I too enjoyed coke life, 30% less sugar IIRC without tasting like drain unblocker.

Never been a fan of Cherry Coke, but I loved Vanilla Coke when it was first released in 2002 and I was disappointed when it discontinued. I still got to drink it when I went to the US which was a nice treat. I stopped drinking Coca Cola all together a few years back until Vanilla Coke came back briefly but then they discontinued it again and I reverted to drinking full fat Coca Cola.

I don't understand why they're replacing the full fat versions with the zero options. I've always been told the Zero/Diet variant is worse than the normal version. Regardless, I've always tried to avoid Aspartame which is now common in other soft drinks like Fanta even if it is not a diet or zero product so the only soft drink I consume is Full Fat Coca Cola, don't like anything else.

The proper Mountain Dew is amazing though! It's just not the same as it is in the USA.

Is the current Coke Mango the replacement?

I thought it was good and had strong flavours for sugar free.

fking sugar tax s. I want a can of coke that I can pour in to my coke glass and have it filled. I like a can of coke. But because stupid fking chav parents won't take responsibility for their fat, sausage-faced turd-filled spawn and have to blame someone, anyone, for the fact little Riley/McKenzie/<insert relevant surname-based first name here> is a fat little recumbent, horizontal little speed bump with his fat face squished up against an iPhone screen like a zombie at a window, so the government and drinks companies see this as a way to £££.

fk coke and their stupid new packaging where the diet and fancy push-pop paedo flavours look pretty much the same as full fat traditional stuff, especially if you're in a hurry to grab one. And the cans are those stupid fking cocktail size ones, what next, they'll come with a free umbrella but you'll need the hands of Jeremy Beadle to actually use one?!

It's almost, ALMOST enough to drive a man to Pepsi. But they're probably doing the same wkers' trick.

Sugar tax and Coke's reaction to it annoy the crap out of me.

I'm with OpulentBob too!

Some people simply can't drink diet carbonated drinks due to the sweetener used, so I prefer a full fat Coke, maybe only twice a week - not 4 per day!

I'm an old fashioned kind of bloke, I just want a can/glass/bottle of Coke.....just coke, same old original recipe I grew up with.

Just because some big mouth fat fk can't control their intake, they've fked it up for the rest of us who actually enjoy a sugary treat responsibly.

I can't be doing with all these variations, sugar free, zero, life? What the fk is that? etc etc, just give me a fking Coke and stop pissing about for fks sake.

I was tricked into buying the diet cherry coke recently, because it looked like the real one! Gutted.

I don't see why products should be pulled because of sugar tax, but ultimately I do believe that "luxury" and non essential goods would be a far better source of tax than income tax or essentials like petrol, bread etc. Think massive VAT on £3k handbags, sweets etc, as long as it's accompanied by reduction in other taxes.

Same here, I just want a Coke, cold from the chiller, no farty flavours or "Zero", I just want Coke, for the max 2 times a week I have it, unless there is Rum in the house!

I don't get the "sugar tax" and how it's supposed to work, I have noticed that non sugar versions are available in slightly larger bottles; 1.25ltr as opposed to 1ltr for full fat, however a 500ml bottle of Coke is about £1.30, so how can a 1ltr bottle be £1.00, plus there are still multi buys on offer for full fat variants, there didn't seem to be any consistency.
