Audi A6 S6 replacement remote fob

Hi All

Just treated myself to an S6 coupe, problem is I didn't get any of the original keys. Audi have quoted £200 for the fob and £90 to reprogram it, but this is even for a dealer a little high.
Googling around you can get the fobs with blanks on line but how hard is it to program this yourself and get the key cut?
also anyone know what fob I would need as there seem to be a few variants.
