I have a '95 Griff and have noticed that the offside headlamp has blown and thus needs replacing. Having seen the performance one has to go through to get the job done, I decided to get my mechanic to do it for me! I figure I may as well replace both sides with Xenon bulbs (30% brighter).

The problem is that my handbook says it uses H1 55W but TVR Centre say that its H4 60/55. Anyone know which type to use?

Whilst on this subject I am changing the amber indicators (round front and oval side) to clear as on later TVR's. TVR Centre have the side ones in but say the Factory haven't any round ones in stock as they are being used elsewhere..... on some type of tank! Does anybody know where I might be able to get them from?

Well seeing as the Griffith uses a different lamp for dipped beam and full beam the TVR centre must be talking crap! Obviously the H4 55/60 bulb they mention is for a Chimaera as the bulbs in a Griffith should only have one filament Rich...

I have a mate who works for the MOD and he is finding hard to find these, I will let you know if he comes up with anything? Side repeaters are Ford Fiesta you can get them from Halfords (see my profile)

take the old ones out & see what they are - then go to Halfords & get the equivalent +30% brighter. That's what I did, and they are

30% brighter! Instead of being able to see the square root of b@gger all at night, you will now be able to see what it is that you're about to hit...

Side ones are the same as a fiesta if u go to the local Max-p shop, cheaper here.
As for the fronts have read they are of some Tank, havn't been able to find out where to get any yet as would also like to change mine.

I think David Beer may be working on a set of clear lenses... Use the member directory to find him, he uses 'david beer' as a screen name...
