997.2 C4S convertible leak

Lots of water settling in nearside rear footwell and seat base when it rains so clearly a leak somewhere or water not draining properly. I don't - yet - want to go to the expense of main dealer diagnosis which is £168 just to look at it. How can I detect where the problem is? Any tips?
