I have a sharesave scheme that matures this December and plan to sell some of the shares as soon as I can. I'd also like to move £20k worth of them into a S&S ISA (I haven't used any of this years allowance)

If sell share using Equiniti they want a fee of 1.75%, which is much higher than other sharedealing services.

Does anyone know how to move my shares away from Equiniti minimising my costs? Ideally I'd like to end up with £20k in my HL S&S ISA, and have the remainder available to sell via HL as and when I need too.

Is it just a case of obtaining my share certificate and then forward this to HL?

I obtain a paper copy of my shares obtained thru an employer share save scheme. Then crest transfer into my chosen online account.

You can transfer into an ISA, but you need some paperwork or confirmation from the share provider that the shares come from a government approved scheme.

Thanks, I'll check out crest transfers, I'd not heard of those before
