My old gaffer that is, the gent who made the original tweet biggrin he's now a TFC.

The majority of West Midlands Police ARVs are unmarked audi estates, one presumes it was one of these involved in this incident.

Hopefully the first of many, both incidents and posts.

Two men pulled up alongside a car and threatened its occupants with a crowbar, but they soon discovered that a police firearms team was inside the vehicle.

Road rage or attempted carjacking?

Humberside Police seem to use black X5s for unmarked armed response vehicles

They could wait in a Golf R at a Birmingham McDonalds, they'd have hundreds off the streets within the week.

this is brilliant. it should be a tactic in certain areas. as already said it would clear a load of car jacking scum from the streets in short order.

This guy carjacks a marked vehicle, the two officers seemed completely inept.

Reminds me of the idiots trying van doors looking for tools when they opened one to find a group of SAS soldiers on a training exercise whilst armed to the teeth. laugh

That looks like a parody film scene, especially with the half dressed member of the public running to help.
Dunno why the driver didn't lock the door as the villian was running towards them, or drive away when the door was open.

14 years is a decent sentence but if that happened to a member of the public I doubt they would even get a custodial.

It also happened to some of Steptoes' mates who were trying to sleep off a night on the ale

On one of the Police Camera ... type shows a few years ago.

A couple of cheeky miscreants decided to dump the car an make a run for it across the fields.
The cheery boys in blue gave chase.

The miscreants stumbled through an encampment that happened to be the army on a training exercise.

Apparently they then slipped and fell down, and the army lads in their haste to help rushed over and also slipped falling on top of them, possibly causing some injuries to the pair.
