Polishing an alloy frame (1992 Honda CBR250RR)

What's the best way to polish this frame, Solvol and rag doesn't touch it and i'm not too sure about wire wool, etc. Would you use a drill with a polisher on the end and if so what exactly would you attach to the drill? What fitment and which polish itself?

There is probably a coat of incredibly tough clear lacquer on it which will have to be removed before polishing

From what i have read, the MC22 has an anodised frame, so you will have to try and sand through that first before polishing

I know this doesn't answer your question, but I had mine sand blasted then powder coated, as the alternative was significantly more work.
