Hi Everyone,

Unfortunately due to a change of circumstance, mainly around the job - looks like I'll be heading back into london for work - and can no longer justify paying for my car and a season ticket loan (especially when the car will barely get 2k in mileage for the remainder of the term).

strictly from experience - how hard would it be, paperwork wise, if I found someone to take over my golf's lease?

Car is still immaculate, not a scratch. For reference, its a Golf GTI, 10k miles per annum, pretty highly specced. current monthly rental is £307 (initial was £900 ish). Currently on month 9 of a 36 month lease.

Just wasn't expecting to be made redundant. Oh well.

any help, tips, tricks on this process would be fantastic. the leasing provider is through ALD automotive.

Thanks All smile

You'll have to speak to the finance company, different ones have different rules but strictly you could be on for the full amount that you signed up for.

VWFS have been known to settle for 55% of the value of the remaining rentals but it depends on how far you are in to the contract, also they have been known to allow a third party to take over.
