I'm trying to research what American Speed put inside the LS7 engine 720HP and struggling to find details. Also what Modifications need to be done from a standard crate engine?

Any help that would be great

As I have said before the American Speed thing leaves me a little cold. Horse power numbers based on mods that are not inline with what other engine builders do to get the same power levels. Costs for ADAPTATION into the GTR that seem way out of line to me. Any competent shop should be able to build brackets for the A.C. and alt for way less than the package price that A.S. charges. Just me two cents worth, but Ive had an Ultima since 2007 and I pay a lot of attention to issues regarding the L.S. lEE

Parts World Performance have a LSX454R 770hp at £12495 + vat, you will still need to source the ancillary's. Alan Grove does a nice low mount for the Sanden AC Compressor and there are plenty of water pump and alternator drive combos that will fit, or you could make them yourself if you are handy with a welder.

Paul I don’t know what regulations you’re gonna need to pass but if it’s IVA equiv you’ll have a hell of a time trying to get that lsx through emissions.

If you want a good 700hp engine, check the link and spec Tim sent for the LSX then compare the 700hp offerings from other US tuners, perhaps katech or mast. And look into Tim’s recommendation on low level brackets etc.

You’ll be able to buy a turnkey high quality 700hp engine, you just need proper proof it’ll pass whatever emissions standards you need to.

Or get yourself an hp tuners or efi live kit and ask for an emissions map as part of the deal so you can change as necessary.

I went standard LS7, passed iva, then tunes.

The LS7 crate engine is pretty robust to start with @ 505hp but with a little help 720hp is attainable at a cost. I started with an LS7 crate engine, swapped in Texas Speed stage 3.2 cam kit with springs, rocker trunion upgrade, Katech high scavenge oil pump upgrade, ATI balancer, MSD Airforce intake, and Nick Williams 102mm throttle body, and got up to 695hp, 623trq at the crank. That's using the Ultima headers, cats, and mufflers. A Stage 4.2 cam, and upgraded heads should get you over the 720hp mark.

I used the Dirty Dingo low mount LS2 truck alternator mount, and their Low mount mini compressor setup for my AC and both worked perfect.
