I've just had a request to cancel an ebay transaction from a seller who has already sent my item, and I have received it fine.

He has offerred a partial refund if I agree to cancelling the transaction.

Something sounds dodgy, but I can't work out what it is.

Any ideas? Why would you request to cancel a transaction which has been successful for both buyer and seller?

Gets his fees back ?

If the item breaks or proves to be substandard in a few days then you've no come-back ?

I have had the same thing,
usually the item turns out to be fake, someone else has reported it so they cancel all sales.

Thanks guys. Its not fake (its a model car), so I'm assuming its trying to get the fees back. Seems a bit fraud-y, so I'll reject it.

Sends you full size real thing?
No refund possible if sale cancelled.
