Oil Pressure Sender??
Discussion
I think my oil pressure sender is on the blink, because the reading on the gauge is all over the place at random intervals.... I want to check the obvious things like dirty contacts etc, but unfortunately I don't know where the sender lives in the engine. Please can somebody point me in the right direction so I can begin my investigation?
Thanks in advance,
Dan.

Its at the bottom of the drivers side of the engine. On my 92 Griff it is bell shaped and covered in a black plastic boot, the base of the bell screws into the engine and the top has a brass screw thread to connect the sensor wire, this what you need to check for continuity.
Easy access is by removing the Drivers side front wheel. Mine needed replacing, cost was around £40 I think, it was two years ago. Because its a TVR There were a few different units used I beleive, so go with the origonal to make sure you get the right part. Very easy to swap, just watch the taper thread goes in straight. I think ther is info in SH Bible.
