Bmw e90 320d whining noise
Discussion
Hi all,
So my bmw 320d had a really bad whining noise, used to occur on start up and when I accelerate over about 2k, there is no power loss as the car pulls great and no smoke etc, I did change the turbo thinking that might be the issue but it still continued, Googling further I seen that it could possibly be the crankshaft gasket or maybe the valve cover gasket I’m not 100% sure at all, I really don’t want to be throwing money at it without actually knowing what it could be,
Also when the engine was running we took the cap off and it started throwing oil out, made a bit of a mess was wondering is that’s normal?
Thanks in advance.
