Similar thing happened at the Port of Felixstowe a few years ago, a ship was moored which had 3 Cranes on it for delivery, during a storm it slipped the moorings and took down a crane with it. There was a rumour going around that it put a massive crack in the quayside.

Amazing - it carries five massive and rather top-heavy-looking cranes all the way from China - and fks up the last metre...

A bit like double glazing installers who break up the frames they remove so they can't be used again.
Ship delivers 3 new cranes to the dock and manages to destroy at least two of the ones being replaced.

This happened twice at the container terminal in Southampton, once around the mid 90’s from memory, and again in 2008.

The Southampton ones just fell on their own accord though.
Possibly fatigue, but they weren't impacted by anything.
